Nordisk Aluminat’s product range is produced on the fines raw materials available, ensuring waster water treatment plants the highest level of efficiency.

Sodium Aluminates

All Nordisk Aluminat A/S’ Sodium Aluminate solutions are produced according to EN 882 (Chemicals used for treatment of water intended for human consumption). Aluminum products reduce chemical sludge production compared to iron, due to the low molecular weight of AI. Aluminates raise the alkalinity of the water, eliminating the need of lime or hydroxides. Additionally Sodium Aluminate has a very low content of heavy metals.

The high content of AI in aluminates, facilitates lowered transport costs.

NordPac 18 – Poly Aluminum Chloride

NordPac is produced according to EN 883 (Chemicals used for treatment of water intended for human consumption). With slightly larger molecyles compared to Sodium Aluminate, NordPac 18 provides excellent flocculation properties.

NordPac is also suited for Microthrix (filamentous bacterium) control in wastewater.

Sodium Aluminate 44% unstabilized, is used in those cases where organic compounds are less desirable. Sodium Aluminate has a higher viscocity compared to Sodium Aluminate 38% due to the higher content of aluminium.

Sodium Aluminate 45% has a higher viscocity compared to Sodium Aluminate 38% due to the higher content of aluminium. It represents a strong alternative to Sodium Aluminate 38% when transporting over long distances.

In environments with low temperatures, Sodium Aluminate 38% is recommended.

NordPac enables hydrophobicity in combination with rosin size at higher pH ranges than possible with alum. NordPac keep the cationic charge at a higher pH level.

NordPac has less influence on pH compared to alum, and can also be used for retention and dewatering as well as an anionic trash scavenger.
